Excellent blade, and with the expedited delivery was here the next day!! Still can't believe it arrived so quickly - I thought it was being shipped from the States so this was a very nice surprise.
For the odd reviewer on here questioning how long it will retain it's edge, these knives are designed with sharpening in mind. This hardness of this blade will mean it will keep it's edge a lot longer than many of the other knives on the market, but it will need attention from time to time. Invest in a honing steel to bring back the edge. Also it will benefit from the occasional precision sharpening a whetstone gives. Depending on how out of shape you let the blade get depends on the coarseness of the whetstone you use. Just make sure you end up with the finest you can - 8000 grit is very fine, ideal for that polished sharp edge.
I didn't manage to get the 20% discount offered on the site though - maybe it's because I paid in stirling and not dollars.

This is a great knife. It looks super nice, cuts beautifully. It's a great quality. I'm no professional knife collector or anything but I got this for my girlfriend who is a chef and she really liked it so that's all that matters to me!

This is a nice knife for the price. It is very sharp and has a nice hardwood handle. At first, it felt a little awkward using this knife because of its size, but after a while, it becomes second nature. It does an excellent job at cutting through meats so far. I really am not someone who cooks a great deal of large pieces of meat, but when I do, it��s very important that I have the right tools to do it. This stuff does a great job, but I��m curious to see how long it will retain its sharpness. So far, I��ve used it a few times and haven��t noticed any problem with this knife, losing its edge, but I will see how it works overtime. If I do find this knife to have a problem with holding its sharpness, I��ll be back to update this review. Otherwise, for now, I am happy with the performance of this knife at its price point. Plus, this knife is so nicely package that it would make an excellent gift.

This is a nice, heavy duty knife. I've been trying to slowly replace most of my knives and this is a great addition to my newly acquired knives. It's definitely a good knife for cutting large meat. It came well sharpened and I've resharpened it since and it resharpens easily as well. It's comfortable to hold and I feel like its a good price for the quality of blade you're getting.
