Hands down, this is a beautiful knife for the money. I had ordered a victorinox boning knife with rosewood handle as a gift and it was an absolute joke. Checked this out as an alternative and it is gorgeous. Buying another for myself.
Love the balance of the blade. The edge straight out of the box is excellent VERY SHARP. It's comfortable to hold I just used this knife to skin, quarter and debone a white tail deer I shot yesterday morning so it's versatility is also excellent. Last but not least and the main reason I purchased this specific knife is the appearance. I think it looks great! I would've recorded a video but I'm not that coordinated lol
Bought this knife for my husband and he immediately asked me to order the rest of the set. Very sharp and balanced. Great for his BBQing.
My 3rd Paudin pakkawood handle knife from Paudin's bottom tier of knives. The Paudin knife has a very large handle that makes it easier to grip with greasy, gloved hands. Should make trimming a brisket a breeze but the blade is very stiff so filet of fish could be challenging. Looks gigantic compared to my old Henkel 4-inch boning blade. The Paudin will require periodic sharpening and honing as all my German blades. No big deal as I take care of my knives. The 6-inch boning knife is excellent value especially with holiday 20% off sale. 5 stars for value.
