Good quality - but have not yet had a sharpen of a knife. So far the cut is excellent & the knives are well balanced.
The outer box came a bit beat up though that is not the fault of the company. The knives themselves are very carefully packed in cutout foam and tip protectors.I love the wood grain design on the blades. The handles have a little of a tougher wood finish, which is still very smooth and soft but gives it good grip. I love the knives that come in this set, its all the basic ones you need to have on a regular basis. When displayed in my knife block, the butt of the knives have a flat metal finish with their logo and it looks very fancy! These are a really good value set! Would make a wonderful gift.
The knife set arrived in a presentation style gift box. From first opening, the set presents you with a feeling of high quality. Each of these knives has a very sharp cutting edge. These knives are well balanced and feel good in the hand. Hand wash and towel dry these knives to ensure a long life.
Very nice five piece knife set that comes in a beautiful display box, suitable for gift giving. The knives all have reusable plastic tip protectors. The knives are bright and shiny; the high carbon stainless steel has an etched blade that resembles Damascus steel.My first choice was the Santoku blade that went through raw chicken like the proverbial "hot knife through butter". I was able to trim the attached fat from the chicken breast in just seconds. The Chef's knife immediately turned a ripe tomato into paper thin slices. Although I am not proficient enough to remove the skin of an apple in one continuous strip, it should be simple for anyone used to peeling apples. The Tuscan boule I bought to try out the bread knife was somewhat rubbery, but the serrated blade cut it up into nice, even slices.I was very satisfied with the performance of each of these knives. It was a bit of a challenge getting them back into customized indents in the foam inset because it required more pressing down than was wise with such sharp blades. I will be getting a wooden block to store these in future. Both the knives and my fingers deserve it!Recommended!
